Vis-a-vis the BlueSky ethos, the fixation with spontaneity and horizontalism as the answer to these contradictions when they are too difficult to ignore. Often it ends up in protests eventually ceasing and these contradictions growing stronger.

People keep repeating “local democracy can’t scale” like Bookchin never addressed it. He explicitly rejected pure horizontalism. Confederation, delegation, institutions, and coordination already solve this problem. We already coordinate society at scale now. The issue is hierarchy, not scale.
