for the love of baby cheeses can we stop adding -omance to every genre?

it just gets stupider and stupider. Horromance, now dystomance?

A book can have a romantic subplot without being turned into a cringe hashtag

have to speak my truth: I hate the portmanteau “horromance” so much

A romantic gesture, appropriate for a horromance 😆💀

horromance, she sighs wistfully
The Forbidden Game trilogy alone inspired my weakness for morally grey ‘I can fix him’ tropes, my love for the blending of horror and romance and so many other things, & so many of her other works and their adaptations have inspired or brought me joy.
Rest in peace, LJ Smith. Thank you for The Vampire Diaries and all your other fantastical stories. Your works and their adaptations shaped and inspired many of us young vampire and witch and supernatural lovers.

Rest well. 🖤

Hello lovely #HorrorWritersChat folks! I'm Nora Shear and I write horromance. My favorite music to listen to generally is shoegaze & ambient, but when I'm writing, I add goth metal, industrial, & a healthy dose of Heilung.
#HorrorWriteresChat Question One:

“All the best freaks are here
Please stop staring at me…”

This week, we’re asking about the music of the night, the songs on Lestat’s playlist, and all that jazz…

Introduce yourself, the horror you write, and your favorite music to listen to.
