Movie Review

The Conference is a Swedish slasher movie that is currently on Netflix. Yes, it is a subtitled movie, but there is English dubbing; if you are someone who doesn’t like to read while watching a movie. This was such a confusing rollercoaster ride! You’ll spend time just trying to understand what everyone is doing and right when you figure it out, you’ll have a group of people that you absolutely despise!

You know I love foreign horror; and this one had an aspect of found footage with it? I had to see it. However, I’m so on the fence about this one and where it stands with me. I feel like there are a lot of great things about it, but there are some things that made me want to turn it off.

Twisted Childhood Tuesday I absolutely LOVE Twisted Childhood Tuesdays! Don’t you? Today we have a beauty, Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare. I was honestly avoiding this movie. While the other childhood horror movies were clearly cheesy and funny, this appeared to be taking itself very seriously. However, I am so happy that I took a chance and just watched it because I didn’t regret a second of it.

Twisted Childhood Tuesday I was very on the fence about this one for a major reason. For one, I’m going to need you to reel in that judgement because I feel it coming. I’ve never seen Bambi. I know, I know! It’s a childhood classic and I even own it! But I have a good reason for never seeing it. Anytime an animal suffers abuse or dies in a movie, I cry my eyes out.

Maniacally Short Monday Welcome to Maniacally Short Monday! I felt it was important that I review this horror short. As someone who loves to bake and has a family of bakers, it was a necessity. Baking is a science; one wrong move and you when from whipped cream to butter, buns to biscuits, and bread to cake. However, Laila seems to have learned the shortcut to a perfect recipe every time.

Dear Curry Barker, I hope this message finds you well. I'm writing you today to inform you of what you have created. Sir, I know you are someone who has a true love of the horror industry, TO INDUSTRY, but I must say, you have created a monster. I am not one to fear many things. In fact, I have spent most of my adult life watching horror movies trying to find that fear I felt as a child, but to no avail; that is until tonight.

Dude, I was so on the fence about this movie! I was putting it off so much because of this scene; I saw it in the trailer and I just knew, nope... I'm not looking forward to watching HIM. However, I didn't want to be scared away from a movie just because some guy was getting his jollies from getting a ball thrown at his face multiple times.
