Choi was nicknamed, "The Nation's Sweetheart" and became a beloved national actress. She starred in a string of successful kdramas and films in the following years, such as the film #MisterMama, with #ChoiMinSoo, the MBC melodrama #SeasonOfStorms and the comedy film #HowToTopMyWife.

#ChoiJinSil finally was able to enroll to Chung-Ang University's School of Arts to study acting. She had a desire to learn acting systematically, starting with breathing and vocalization.

That same year, she won Best Actress award at the 33rd Grand Bell Awards for the hit film #HowToTopMyWife.
