This might be great for Bristol based Green Runners who like to explore green spaces.

Chipped into the crowdfunder for this and delighted it is in my hands in time for the sunnier days.

The map captures all the green & blue spaces in Bristol. On the reverse is a whole bunch of inspiration for getting outside in nature.

An amazing year of keeping it local in keeping with our #HowWeMove pillar.
This time last year I stepped out of my front door to explore an OS map centred on my house. I discovered so much more than I expected.

My 2024 journey around my map was inspired by @alastairhumphreys.bsky.social & in keeping with @thegreenrunners.bsky.social #HowWeMove pillar.

Coast 2 Coast the green way 💪🏻💚

Devon Coast 2 Coast - I completed my mini-adventure today by running from Barnstaple to Croyde along the coastal footpath.

A mostly flat 25km run along the old railway line & around the windy wilds of Braunton Burrows before hitting the north coast.

Time for a quick paddle before bus & train home.

Looking for a UK running adventure this weekend?

Why not take inspiration from Slow Ways and find a new local route to run.

Keeping it local is a great way to reduce the climate impact of our sport.

#HowWeMove
Planning a walk this Easter? Why not make it a #SlowWays hike!?

The Slow Ways network includes over 10,000 routes that stretch for neatly 150,000km.

Thanks to people across Britain, this map shows the 2,382 routes that have been triple-checked and verified.

This year I’ve continued to explore the 20x20km map centred on my home, taking inspiration from “Local” by @alastairhumphreys.bsky.social

I retraced paths well trod in 2024 & found new places to explore.

All while keeping it local in keeping with @thegreenrunners.bsky.social #HowWeMove pillar.

Long adventurous runs using public transport are our cup of tea!

#HowWeMove
Well, I've run the Capital Ring and have largely finished the London Loop, so maybe this is the next challenge!
Long, adventurous runs using public transport are the best.....

Great example of how to apply our #HowWeMove pillar.
My Devon & Cornwall railcard makes for great value travel from home. Yesterday was a good example.

Train to Exmouth, a 24km run including along the SW coast path, train back from Lympstone.

Mixing it up on my long runs while leaving the car at home.

First hour sucked, second hour was lovely. My plan this year is to incorporate paths near me that I don't usually use or have never been used before. Will track on an OS paper map which ones I've done to monitor when planning more routes. Inspo by Alastair Humphreys @thegreenrunners.bsky.social
Long run day. Not feeling up for it but it has to be done.

1/3 Today, TGR’s Laura Briggs @veganfitnessrunner.bsky.social begins the Camino Primitivo.

She’s running over 320km, from Oviedo through the Asturian mountains, to prove that extreme adventure does not need a massive carbon footprint 💚👣

Third time I’ve patched up these shoes. @pair-ups.bsky.social extending the life of my daps.

More kms = more fun = less £ = better for the environment

Ready for Dartmoor on Sunday.

#FootIt is a great example of keeping it #local, exploring what we have close to home and keeping our carbon footprints low.

As a birder & runner, I’m all for #LowCarbonBirding and promoting the @thegreenrunners.bsky.social #HowWeMove pillar.

Nottingham Green Runners gathered at Holme Pierrepont parkrun on a glorious spring day ☀️

Living our #HowWeMove pillar they travelled to the park on foot, bike, tram & bus 🚴‍♂️🚊

They cooled down with a litter pick before a coffee & catch-up in the TEN66 café ☕️

A great way to start the weekend 💚

Heavy rain didn't dampen the mood at our Nottingham local meet-up this morning with Caren, Jon & Kev visiting Bestwood Village #parkrun. 🌳

Our trio travelled sustainably by foot, train & tram. #HowWeMove

They enjoyed a 5k run 🏃‍♀️ around the country park followed by a warming cuppa in the café. ☕️

Walk or run, Slow Ways are a great way to explore your neighbourhood.

And with train stations in Exeter & Totnes, this one would be make a fine point to point long run…

#Totnes to #Exeter on five great #SlowWays yesterday!

All using the @slowwaysuk.bsky.social app following routes shared and checked by volunteers. Loved it! ❤️

1/3 - This week, we’re swapping our usual badge bimble for a big cheer for our co-founder Damian Hall @ultradamo.bsky.social 💚

Damian won the 2025 Lakeland 100. 100 miles, 6,300m of climb, and probably several brews 🗻

That’s a one big bimble! 💪🏻
