On 13 January 2025 a tailings pond collapsed in the Hpakant jading mining area of Myanmar (Burma), killing at least 12 people. Local reports suggest that 30 or more people have been killed.

Specifically I thought Ann would hold on and maintain supply lines and so would Hpakant, Momauk and Kachina SR-1. It was a bit bullish on Burman Resistance capabilities (while they defended Kawlin), but this asymmetric is something that will begin to improve in 2025 (boy has the NUG hinted).
