Plaque reads Ancient Huran. On display is a piece of textile, a tobacco pipe, and Diadus in a cage. He's freaking out gripping the bars and thinking "Where the f*ck am I??" A sign reads NO FLASH

answered a huran enki question on tumblr
anonymous question reads: hiii :) i luv your art so much !! i was wondering if you planned on making Huran Enki into a comic of sorts? i love your characters sm dude also what did you study in college (?) answer reads: huran enki was always envisioned as a prose-poetry illustrated novel but being realistic i most enjoy it as a multimedia playground thats just nice to draw ideas from and tell the story orally to friends. im not really a writer and im reluctantly a comic maker but i most enjoy being an orator lol! i dont currently have plans to comic any parts of it even though there are some very comicable parts so that might change but no promises and i studied genetics lol. i wanted to drop out for many reasons but i did finish that then after moving countries and working a few years i studied illustration at postgrad. it wasnt 'woooah this is finally my place in this world' amazing and it was probably too expensive but it was pretty helpful. thanks for your questions!

LYALE zen TORS [ lee•AWL zen TORSE ] Race: Erjan (Yanuan) Affiliation: Ras Huran Merchants Association Occupation: Victualler Born: 7 Vemeth J676 (age 39), Navi Yanu Height: 5'9 Languages: Erjan Lyale zen Tors is a Yanuan barkeep and owner of The Brink, a victual outpost serving travellers journeying to and from Ras Huran. After having grown up wanting for nothing in the affluent city state of Navi Yanu, Lyale became so disenchanted by the idle pomposity of Erj's high society that she took to the Waste, to brave the rigours of desert life for little more than the challenge. Lyale is virtually unflappable, though is quick to defend against anything she deems a threat to her family—in particular her younger brother Bome, for whom she is responsible.

Diadus, Canther, and Ceyris are sitting and wearing long winter robes. Diadus stands and looks over his shoulder at the viewer. Canther lounges and looks relaxed. Ceyris looks pensive. #huranenki

SORRIL AEOLINSTH, III [ SOR•uhl EY•oh•linsth ] Race: Erjan Affiliation: None Occupation: Cook, thief Born: 4 Vemeth J675 (age 40), Myrea Height: 5'4 Languages: Erjan Sorril Aeolinsth Ill is an erjan thief and head cook for the venerable Ras Huran restaurant Neb's Chophouse and Sundry. Originally from the slums of Myrea outside the wall of Navi Yanu, Sorril essentially followed his one-time love interest Lyale zen Tors to Ras Huran, and it is at her trekstop he now spends much of his spare time, regaling patrons with all manner of irritating stories and scents. Though he prefers to envision himself a ruthless scoundrel and cunning element of Ras Huran's underworld, Sorril is in fact a thoughtful and compassionate individual.

Diadus gives Canther half a grilled corn cob. Canther: I don't want that, man Diadus: Why the fuck not? He whips it directly at Canther's head and they both yell. In the foreground, Ceyris holds a corn cob of her own and asks "What is this." Her companion shrugs.

huran enkis greatest appeal is how everyone fights all the time
Ceyris fighting with her brother Canther Diadus fighting with Canther Ceyris: Listen... I think Diadus is actually serious about us being his family. Canther: That's weird he never said anything like that before? (While playing cards together) Diadus: As far as I'm concerned it's you two who are my real family Canther: Uhh that's great man Ceyris (loudly, while looking at her hand): Who's turn is it to play!!!!!
