Still enjoying my cute little doodles of Animal Crossing characters as humans. Some just haven't turned out but Cally the squirrel did <3
So I'm not quite rolling for these but I am randomizing the characters I draw. This time it's Cally the Squirrel. She was so gosh darn cute and drawing her was a blast. Using these cute little humanization practices have been really great for my character design study and preparation for making portraits I can use for my DnD NPCs. I threw Cally here in an outfit from her favorite gifts catagory and really loved drawing cute little curly locks of hair for her. The tail addition was more so she looked like a squirrel since I have had some issues with some of my humizations with them looking like a completely different type of critter. Made a portrait of Audie from #AnimalCrossingNewHorizon She's my friend's favorite villager on his island. I'm really loving making portraits lately <3
I had a fun little exploration of drawing Animal Crossing characters as humans. This started because of Tomadachi living the dream. My island has all my animal crossing new horizons characters turned human. I shared my first piece with my friends and one of them asked me to draw Audie who was his favorite villager on his island. I had such a fun time sketching her out and with every part of the piece I wanted to capture thus complete queen. The palm tree background felt super on brand and I'm glad I went with it. She gives California Beaches girl and I love her for it. I'm glad I made this and I'm looking to make more for some relaxing exercises.
