The question of “why does Jabba keep scantily clad humanoids around” is an interesting one though, since presumably Hutts aren’t into that. Suggests that the purpose is power display/guanxi building with non-Hutts.

Friendly Star Wars lore reminder: Hutts have always been able to speak Basic. They often consider it beneath them to do so, and would rather other people learn Huttese.
