#NativePlants Hydrophyllum virginianum (Virginia Waterleaf) shows a lot of variation in bloom color. Both of these clumps were from the same planting in similar conditions in the front beds. Both equally lovely!

This shade-loving deciduous ground cover is common in the seasonally wet forests west of the Cascades, and is tolerant of sunny conditions as long as there’s abundant moisture . . .
