Originally on Twitter I qrted a guy who brought up Hynerpeton, a tetrapodomorph, that was probably preyed on by lobe-finned fish like Hyneria. Other than that…I’m not sure I can think of much else.

See my question is if they were really inspired by Salamanders. I always thought they were inspired by the earliest tetrapods. Tiktaalik was discovered after Voyager, but Hynerpeton was discovered in 1993 and published in 1994, at about the right time for Voyager.

In which case how would THEY mate?
