🔬 For 25 years, physicists had fully identified just ONE nucleus holding two Lambda particles.

Now RIKEN has a second. AI scanned microscope images of film with ~1M particle tracks per cm². AI narrowed it down; humans made the call.

A Hypernucleus is just like a normal atomic nucleus, except, in addition to the protons and neutrons, it also has an exotic particle called a hyperon.
