Look, I've never played more than 5 minutes of GTA, but isn't one of the main appeals of the series to just fuck around? Didn't some of the games have jetpacks? I don't get why you'd suddenly wanna pursue hyperrealism like that.

Tech3D @Tech_3d2 GTA 6 completely overhauls weapon handling. No more carrying 30 guns in your back pocket: • Personal Vehicle Armory: Your main weapons stay stored in your trunk. Ditch your car? You lose access to your heavy arsenal. • On-Person Limit: You can only carry up to 4 weapons (2 concealed sidearms + 2 long guns). • Open Carry Reactions: Carrying a rifle in your hands will instantly panic civilians and alert police dispatch. • Stolen Cars: Hijacking a random vehicle won't teleport your weapons—you only get what you brought on foot. Rockstar is leaning heavy into RDR2-style tactical realism.

I think a lot of people still tell themselves Nintendo is a "good" corporation mostly due to 1) the fact they took longer to implement a lot of the bullshit other gaming companies have implemented, 2) they're still one of the few companies that isn't entirely focused on hyperrealism, & 3) nostalgia

The Big Flashy Moves are cool. The woman from the prologue is sooooooo hot. The prologue itself felt very FF6 to me, which I do appreciate as a 6 fan. Also the HD-2D art style is sooooo gorgeous. Incredibly based choice for this game rather than the hyperrealism the main series pivoted to.

LRT DOA up to 4 on the 360 have a very specific look to them that I've always admired, almost like the characters are like action figures and dolls, beautiful 3D models in a bright, ethereal world. I think games are trying too hard now to chase hyperrealism when we had it so good prior.
