We got into a conversation driving up to Denton a couple of months ago about I35. My sister lives in Boston but has lived here and she was all "Why is 35 out here when it's out by Ft Worth too?" I35 splits in the DFW metroplex into I35E out in Dallas and I35W out in Ft Worth

We have a similar I35 split for Dallas/Fort Worth. In Denton, you have to be very specific giving directions if it involves I35 since it's the only city that has both I35E and I35W.

Very pretty morning. Not much has changed on the side streets & frontage roads from what I see. I35E appears to have a clear lane in each direction. I didn't see much traffic, mainly larger trucks and semis.

There's a thick layer of frozen sleet, I'm thinking about an inch and half or so. There's a small top layer of crunchy powder that does appear to provide some traction.

I was thinking how the $250 million stolen (though over $100 million will be recovered) by “Feeding Our Future” is less than half of what MnDOT spent to widen two miles of I35E from downtown to Little Canada— a much more environmentally destructive project than simple “fraud”. Ditto for parts of 36.

I drove a neighbor to their orthopedics appointment at 7:10 city streets, I35E southbound to CR42. There were icy patches on the freeway and 2 vehicles in the ditch. Knuckleheads passing at the posted speed limit while sensible people 50mph.

I've lobbies for a Roselawn upgrade, at least at the deathtrap which is the I35E exit, but crickets. It would be an excellent connection between Phalen and Maccarrons/ Trout Creek Trail.

WTF is going on with gas prices? I had to trek over to I35E - from Midlothian to Waxahachie to DeSoto diesel was $3.99 per gal. Price per gal is $3.09 along I35W, from Alvarado to south Tarrant Co & all of Johnson Co.
