I was surprised when I heard that the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the Fraternal Order of Police issued a critical statement of Trump’s pardons of J6ers.

Then I read it and they place Trump and Biden’s pardons on the same level.

Update: I asked SPD about KUOW's claim that they said Barnes' travel was no different than previous chiefs. They told me that's not what they said—according to the spokesperson, SPD told KUOW his travel to major police conferences like IACP was normal, not his frequent trips to his home in Chicago.

Newsweek's headline overstates what they said. Here's what they report a few paragraphs in. They are "discouraged" both by Trump's and Biden's pardons. That's it. Discouraged. By both. Weak tea, as expected from the blue gang.

The police group (IACP) notes that there are exceptions: for example, reporters and bystanders must not obstruct or delay police in their duties, must keep behind a reasonable marked perimeter if one is set up, and so on. But it's hard to see where KCBS-AM violated any of these rules. /3
