IAAL. Nope.

IAAL, and I agree.

Contrary to the article, the staffer WAS arrested as soon as she was cuffed--she was not free to go. She apparently was not CHARGED, and her arrest was resolved when she was let go.
IAAL, and these distinctions matter in these cases.

IAAL with some amount of experience in international transactions and can confirm Kathryn is giving good suggestions here. I would suggest that people who disagree look up a crime called “illegal factoring”.

(Also, IAAL and I wouldn’t sign off on “the laws don’t matter.”)

IAAL (or used to be) and the old adage that the defence case is always at its height before the defendant gives evidence has been proved right once again.

IAAL, and filing a defamation suit on behalf of the estate of the deceased would not only get dismissed but might also get the lawyer who filed it disciplined for wasting the court’s time and the client’s money.

IAAL, and I agree that’s a good question. It sure is insulting and makes a mockery of the separation of church & state and our
Constitutional secularism.

Unforunately, IAAL. Rather, IWAL. I escaped and began to use my powers for good rather than evil.

This seems very bad, clearly. IAAL, but this is nowhere near my practice area so I don’t pretend to know anything. Is this anywhere akin to a violation of due process?

IAAL(retired) and its hard to say from that little snippet.

yeah, IAAL, and that's an opinion from an intermediate state appellate court in Louisiana, and after losing in the trial court (so one judge) she proceeded to try to get it turned around in the appellate court (now three judges), so four judges have now told her she fucked up

I think turning normal words into shibboleths of sorts is very frustrating! But looking forward to some IAAL explanation of it

IAAL. Cosign.
(1) clearly invoke your 6th amendment right to counsel
(2) clearly invoke your 5th amendment right to remain silent
(3) shut up

You can’t talk to cops. They aren’t your friends. Theyre not there to help you. They’ve targeted you & are looking to build a case against you. Don’t help them.
What’s a thing from your area of expertise (or special interest) that you think it would behoove everyone else to know?

Unfortunately IAAL

Also IAAL.

IAAL, and 👇
IANAL, but... the offer was clearly made, even if Musk later deleted the tweet. This is a clear law-enforcement issue, and @joshkaulwi.bsky.social should meet Musk at the airport to take him into custody.

The law, in its majesty, must punish rich and poor alike for bribing the electorate.
