LNER reinstating their IC225 sets north of York certainly wasn’t on my 2026 bingo card, but a very pleasant surprise nonetheless. Should be a nice comfortable 3 hours up North, let’s go!

91127 and set NL17 become the first IC225 set to visit the ECML North of York since 2021. It reversed at Newcastle before heading south again, all as an empty test in association with the overhead line monitoring equipment fitted to the loco 😁
