So we are being forced into having a digital IDCards well I for one will not be having one this is truly the end of democracy in this country as no one voted for this, another government started this in July 1938 for the safety of its people and look what happened there

The problem is not #IDcards (something actually useful and happily used in most of Europe)
The problem is corporate capture of the data, becauee the government can't or won't handle it in a safe and effective way
They are two entirely different problems
remember v well moving here and being extremely creeped out by the sheer number of cameras *everywhere* in London, so I do find it amusing that while that's somehow fine, a piece of plastic that confirms who you are and has existed in Europe for ages is somehow BEYOND THE PALE

I thought the country had no money? 🤔
Yes let’s spend a shit load on ID cards and give the tech boys more of our data instead of improving the standard of living. Also their reasons due to immigration is racist
I just don’t get this Labour Party.

#Norwegian Police Dir. admits that they should have been quicker to #warn Norwegians after the #DataBreach against #Italian hotels this summer

Nearly 100,000 scanned #passports and #IDCards stolen from #hotel servers between June & August and put up for sale on #DarkWeb

this game somehow has become EVEN MORE tense now, what the fuck

sound design is MILES better than it was, it's actually so fucking scary. New zombie redistribution also requires you to lock the fuck in

There are also plenty of new immersive changes like new key rings, named books, idcards and such
Damn this shit is CREEPY now

Is there a petition in favour of ID cards? #IDCards #BritCard

And, while I am thinking about this, why aren't those campaigning about the migrant boats demanding a new #ECHR clause to the effect "regardless of anything else in this charter these rights only apply to citizens of ECHR members"?

I'm not sure that U-turn is the right expression.

A U-turn implies that you are actually travelling somewhere before the change of direction.

This thread. For goodness sake can *someome* at @teamlabouruk.bsky.social make them see sense and stop the dogwhistle policy making. #labour #idcards
Ok. They’ve pissed me off.

I’m back to tell you 3 things about ID cards:

1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.

Someone else made mention of the 'trademark' and I was so confused for a bit, but I just realized y'all might be talking about the little face.

That's actually how the face on the IDCards are added as well. Just a little screenshot of the face tucked away on the head texture.
