I hate how so many companies have been “DEI-washing” to look good vs. actually changing their culture. Which explains how they could so easily drop it. But it’s also why I endorse the more substantive vision of: IDEAAB - Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, Accountability and Belonging.

#DEI is not enough. It was only a start.

I feel the same. I could do without the guilt. However, the guilt is there to remind me how incredibly important IDEAAB is to me at a foundational level.

Ah! Money! Right… The Autism Industrial Complex. Instead of trying to figure out what anyone is “trying to say” or reducing it to just a “cause”, I’ve found that, more often than not, shutting up and listening is free and amazingly helps achieve all sorts of #IDEAAB goals, and helps far more people.
