I've been watching this hawk for a couple weeks now, but I'm not sure what kind it is. The Merlin app says Cooper's Hawk, but I don't see it? Can anyone offer any insight?

a fantastic creature with the head of a rhino iguana, but without eyes, the body of a seal with the skin and forelimbs of a crocodile. It has a large throat pouch, and its mouth is open. The creature is standing in water, hiding most of its body and forelimbs. there are brightly-colored plants in the background.

I am amazed at how little information I am getting through my online searches about the tiny tiny tiny creatures living in a bowl of water that I scooped out of the pond last fall so that I would have the jump on the duckweed for my water plants this spring. There are fairy shrimp, but also— 1/2 🐙
