Standardized prep instructions from a few thousand to ~300. Many of the differences in the older documents were minor wording differences. Standardized language will help streamline translation into different languages. #IHAHLC22

The myUHN Patient Portal allows patients to engage in their care and prepare for appointments. Some patients found and reported errors in their charts, and being able to correct those errors could improve their care and their patient experience. #IHAHLC22

Epic Systems has created a USM sig feature that automatically converts directions to UMS directions. Makes it easy for prescribers.

But having the technology is never enough. Most nurses and physicians aren't aware of UMS directions. #IHAHLC22
