Mail call.

They changed my Infliximab/Remicade pens. The pen itself is more chunky but the needle is supposed to be smaller.

And in a long-term follow-up analysis, @dr-james-lee.bsky.social and collaborators found that early intensive treatment—or “top-down” therapy using infliximab plus an immunomodulator—of Crohn’s disease was associated with reduced disease progression, hospitalization and need for abdominal surgery.

🛡️ Immunogenicity does not compromise outcomes with subcutaneous #infliximab

🔸Anti-drug antibodies (#ADAs) lowered drug levels but not 1-year efficacy or safety
🔸Treatment persistence remained similar regardless of ADA status

Covid booster in my left arm, flu jab in my right, infliximab self-inject into my left leg tonight.

When I go to bed, I'll only have one limb which hasn't been stabbed. And the big toe on that leg's been screaming at me for days for having the audacity to want to walk.

Winning at autoimmune. 😂

I'm on a biologic (infliximab, a TNF inhibitor) and I got the flu + COVID vaccines together the first week of September. Maybe I should have waited, but that was the best weekend for me.
Those whose immune systems are more vulnerable are at a higher risk of getting sick with and experiencing severe symptoms of flu, COVID-19, and RSV.

Epidemiologist @cmyeaton.bsky.social gives her recommendations for vaccines this respiratory virus season.

⚖️ #Subcutaneous infliximab achieves higher tissue drug levels in #IBD

🔸Higher serum & tissue infliximab levels vs #IV therapy
🔸Tissue levels correlated with sustained remission and predicted outcomes better than serum levels

Absolutely, I think the lit here mostly helps with providing a sense of how aggressive to treat it (very, it's brain tissue being choked after all) as well as what steroid sparing agents seem to work best (Methotrexate, mebbe with infliximab)

Oder halt nach Biologika. Also was mit Risankizumab oder ein Infliximab. Die haben zwar schon einen rechten impact aber helfen halt oft gut. (Kommt aber immer auf die eigene med. Geschichte an)
