Instamatic cameras too. But only for special occasions!

Yes, they are! I had forgotten that I took this photo! Did you see the blurry white rotary phone? Was in my “early Kodak Instamatic” camera phase! 🙏🤣😂📸🤗💛

I'll take your word for it. I'm no photographer, my last camera was a Kodak Instamatic 🙄

There's loads of photos on here with cats, random families etc, often there's nothing in the photo to give any clues to the time, usually I can recognise an instamatic or Polaroid, often if it's Kodak or Agfa but I'm no expert

Hi Wren I’ve finally unearthed an old album and found the 2 ELP photos I mentioned. Excuse the poor quality, they’re over 50 years old and taken on an Instamatic camera with a cube flash.

Still have my Pocket Tele-Instamatic. They don’t make film for it anymore but you can’t have everything.

The Bencini Comet is a lovely little camera (like all Bencini's it's made of metal. Heavy). I have the Rapid version.

Filling The Gaps: The Bencini Comet Rapid Half-frame Camera
Back in the early 1960s, in response to Kodak’s introduction of its instamatic film system, the European film and camera company Agfa launched the Rapid system. Actually, it’s more accu…

For anyone who used actual "Flash Bulbs", a hotshoe connection with a camera or separate batteries to power the Flash itself -- the Instamatic cube flash was pretty amazing.

New addition to my camera collection! A Kodak Instamatic 100 in decent condition, manufactured in 1963.

I am really happy with this purchase, the seller even gave me a flash bulb with it!

Oh yes the old Kodak 110.
It was a huge design leap in the “Instamatic” camera line-up.

Sometimes the flash didn’t got off and sometimes your subjects ended up with creepy red eyes, only visible after you paid for and waited days or more for processing!

A professional photographer friend was in Paris, taking a nighttime multisecond exposure of the Eiffel Tower from 250 yards away, told me that while doing it a tourist beside him took out an instamatic camera, plonked a flashcube on top & took a picture of the tower. I expect they were disappointed

Brilliant wasn’t it! I regret having run out of film when it landed on the abandoned ‘scope right next to me😂 The kid taking pictures with a little Kodak instamatic as it walked past them at about a foot range was good too.

I wish that 126 film format would go into production again. I know adapters exist but those are daunting. I’d love to get to use my childhood camera again one day. They would shoot square photos.

Remember how fast 35mm film went out of style, the instamatic, 1 hour photo, rotary phones, CRT televisions, Home PCs, FAX machines, Mimeographs? And here’s the kicker:

What DID happen to Kodak, I wonder? SO much stupidity. The Instamatic pocket cameras had a negative size that was already too small even for good 4x6" prints, and then they went to those disks with 8x10mm frames... less than a tenth the size of 35 mm... and even with the relatively finer grains of

Still got my first camera! Not sure it still works, plus being a Kodak instamatic pretty sure you can’t get the film cartridges any more.

Kodak is still in business, they even bought back the instamatic factory after hobbyist's proved the market is still there, for a while I was buying kodak PLA for my printer, but I think they decided to get out of that, they make a number of other products still
