#INTED2025
It's March 2025 and #INTED2025 has set a high bar for "Best Edtech Conference." I let Magisto AI summarise make a 45 second summary of the 45 minute workshop that @educatefran.bsky.social and I did in Valencia.

Letting Meta.ai snap a few images during the #INTED2025 workshop I did with @educatefran.bsky.social Magisto created the video. Workshop materials are at clonmeldigital.notion.site/Generativism...

What a way to rock out #inted2025

Nice twist in Michelle Miller's talk at #INTED2025 about the value of playfulness & fun in developing memory (yes I am flutternoting as a way to record points from this conference)

Interesting conversations at #INTED2025 about how big data & analytics can help to understand students' progress, actions, & well-being. Lots of this is currently at the stage of identifying suitable tools including what data is useful & can lead to actions (flutternoting for my own reference)

Packing up to leave #inted2025 while encouraging workshop attendees to get stuck into practicing what they've learned during the hands-on Practical AI for Educators sessions with @educatefran.bsky.social

Worth coming to 1st session of the day to see @inge-ignatia.bsky.social talking about challenges facing a small specialist uni #INTED2025

Tremendous credit to Marist University in NY state for not only using undergraduates as researchers into how they use AI tools to facilitate learning, especially through note taking, but also bringing 2 undergraduates along to present at #INTED2025

Konference zahájená. Letos po přednáškách procházky asi moc nebudou. Je chladno a prší a má to tak být celou dobu. #INTED2025 #valencia

Michael Wooldridge now segueing to talking of personalised learning and virtual worlds as opportunities for AI in education at #INTED2025 while acknowledging that there's much naivete around

One of the most beautiful examples of AI for Good emerged in front of me during the first open coffee session at #INTED2025 when Dr Susy and Dr Miller chatted about using AI with older people.

Good to hear at #INTED2025 from speakers from Wageningen in the Netherlands who had surveyed students to find out about writing/information navigation etc skills in an AI age: notably they asked questions which mostly weren't explicitly about AI

Interesting takeaways from Michelle Miller's keynote about memory at #INTED2025 about memory incl the extent to which knowing the reason to memorise something remains valuable & the impact of cognitive offloading where we rely on something online as a substitute for memorising

Salutary reminders from Michael Woodridge at #INTED2025 that AI isn't new, that it's only as good as its training data, & that he dates the big data era to around 2005 when computing power became sufficiently abundant to have the volume of data eventually used to train AI
