Vidar Helgesen from #IOC_UNESCO highlights the #GOOS system with 17 global observing networks is still subcritical. An amazing multilateral system, that has been lead by USA that currently provide 53% of observing and 80% of data. So this is critical infrastructure that needs more than one leader!
