Since TCRF got IPv6 support, how many IPv6 connections have you gotten? — I don't have any hard numbers, but they're common. alterspring.org/@Xkeeper/a/1...

IPv6 has more available addresses than we could ever hope to use, but not all devices are taking advantage yet.

Unlike other operators, SpaceX Starlink is using strictly proprietary Layer2/3 protocols from space to the terminal. Only IPv6 SLAAC is somewhat standard, while IPv4 sports (also proprietary) horrendous carrier grade NAT.

IPv6's near-limitless address pool is a huge upgrade over IPv4's exhausted pool, but your computer and router might not be using it yet.

i used to be pro ipv6 for all the good reasons but tbh the addresses really are just scuffed and annoying to read and write so i am back to anti ipv6 again

I love IPv6, but there are still two major hurdles for turning off IPv4:

1. RFC1918 address space is still extremely popular (IoT + cluster). This means there is likely IPv4 + masquerading + a default IPv4 route lingering around.

2. This makes ULA for IPv6 unusable, since IPv4 has higher priority.
