Plenty of "Ulster Protestants" are learning Irish, eg, Linda Ervine. Douglas Hyde, the first president of Ire26, spoke it. The language shouldn't be a sectarian or political football.

Last time I was at IRE someone said you can ID the TV reporters by their jewel-toned clothes and the print reporters by their coffee stains. Joke's on them, I'm in TV and I've already spilled coffee on myself. #IRE26

Shocking to see this level of prejudice in Donegal. Well done to those who stood up to them. Donegal was one of the Ire26 counties most affected by emigration,suffering all the hardships that went with that. The Ire26 government is being forced by popular pressure to condemn Israel's Genocide in Gaza. Both the US and the dominant countries in the EU, as well as the British, see Israel as a strategic asset, a "little Ulster in a sea of Arabs" as one British Governor of Jerusalem put it.
