So someone asked me to source the proof that this is AI, and aside from the fact that they are now giving “synonyms” that no human would use, here’s the info about them being acquired by IXL this April, a company that has gone AI-heavy in other endeavors.

The thing I learned from my kid who struggled to read is that for my youngest child, we will have an iXL account from day one that we will practice on periodically at home, from the day they enter kindergarten. I want to know if they're not understanding grade level work.

My new number one suggestion for parents of kids who are behind in reading or math is to get an IXL subscription and to work on it at home with them.
My kids' school got a subscription last year and we could also access it over the summer. This is his score progression for the calendar year.

It took a special education teacher giving me access to a program for kids with dyslexia, *a lot* of work over two different summers, and our school getting an IXL subscription that let me go back to review first and second grade phonics concepts with him, but he is finally caught up to grade level.
