There’s a part in Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle where the fictional creator of their atom bomb, Ice9, suddenly gets into turtles and stops working on the death machine. His bosses don’t know what to do until they just take the turtles away. W/o even mentioning something is off, the guy goes back to work.
Someone actually did a study a while back that showed the most effective way to get women out of TERF groups wasn’t people trying to change their minds, it was them getting literally any benign hobby, like learning other languages or taking up needlework

I think even this gives AI too much credit. I don't think you can credit it with any kind of imbued entity hood beyond what our own minds try to write onto it. It's more like Ice9 but instead of turning all water to solids one molecule at a time, it turns knowledge into slop masquerading as fact.
