Also btw whole IchiRuki and IchiHime shipping feud, mostly on the part of IchiRuki people, is so silly.
Orihime canonically loves idea of getting into triangle with Rukia and domming Ichigo together, she's such a funny freak.

The anime honestly mangled her because Pierrot consistently pushed for IchiRuki pairing and changed Orihime's content to the point she feels more distant to Ichigo than in manga, but they couldn't destroy the best moments.

people who say zutara vs kataang is western asuka vs rei are wrong. western asuka vs rei is starfire vs raven. zutara vs kataang is western ichiruki vs ichihime.

I love Ichiruki too but I also don’t like some of the fanbase. But I think sometimes I have an issue with Bleach discourse in general. It my favorite ship though

CyJinx OR CyBee, GhostFlower, Peter/Michelle Jones, IchiRuki) I'm...sick of hetero romances. I've seen them since I was a kid. Two, Outside of like...Omori/Basil and Okino/Hijiyama, Chiron/Kevin, BL makes me angry. Not in an "EW GROSS" way, but it feels fetishized.

I was an anime watcher before I read the manga, so I did fall into the Ichiruki hole. But so much of the story would not work if Rukia was the main love interest. Like they have to deliberately close their eyes and ignore these scenes in order for their delusion to become true.

I don’t deny that (and tbf I never particularly cared about Ichihime vs Ichiruki - I just really liked Ishihime 😂)
