Yeah, Ed was moving in. No question. Screenshot of a PDF. Header in small caps: Republic of Pirates Medical Journal Vol. I. Nassau, November 1717. No. 1 Original Contributions: Case Reports. Title: A Series of Cases of Penetrating Stab Wounds of the Abdomen. BY ROACH, M.D.†, L. SPRIGGS, M.O.A.‡ † Ship Doctor and Cook aboard the Revenge (Captained by S. Bonnet; then S. Bonnet & E. Teach; then E. Teach; then E. Teach & S. Bonnet). ‡ Cabin Boy, Scribe, and recently Medical Office Assistant aboard the Revenge, and to whom this Report was dictated by the first author. First column: During my service aboard the ship by the name of the Revenge, a series of unusual and interesting cases came under my care, the majority involving stab wounds of the abdomen. Here, the histories of five such cases are presented for instructive and illustrative purposes. Case I. S.B., white male, æt. 48, admitted to the galley with a stab wound to the gut and a bruise around his neck from a noose (attempted hanging). The injuries were sustained on a Spanish navy ship during an altercation resulting from (non-literal) back-stabbing. Upon arrival, the patient was [the screenshot cuts off] Second column: Dr. Deathly Adder, a colleague from E.T.’s ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, assisted with the following procedures; the wound was treated with carbolized water in a mild solution; several lesions in the intestines were sutured (the number was not counted, and it is irrelevant in any case—the important thing is, they were sewed up); the wound was closed with several (a sufficient amount) sutures; bandages wrapped around the waist over the wound; the neck bruise assessed as superficial and not worth treatment; and the patient given opium and put on bedrest under voluntary vigilance by E.T.

my 90s babies really feeling their makeout soundtrack 🥹 (Ed is teaching Stede to kiss like the good best friend he is)
#IdasOFMDfic
“What’s it called?” Ed grunts as he tries reaching for the CD case on the floor, ending up walking his upper body out on his hands with the rest of him still on the bed in order to grab it. He makes his way back to Stede’s side with even more effort. Stede wonders whether simply getting up would’ve been easier, but Ed looks self-satisfied as he brushes his hair out of his face and turns the case over. “Iris.” “Can we hear it again?” This time, Ed does get up, walking over to the boombox to put the song on repeat. He hesitates, then picks the boombox up and carries it back to the bed, placing it on the floor before climbing back in. There is barely space for the two of them to lie side by side. Stede sneaks a few glances at Ed, who catches him one time, where they both grin and look away. Still, it’s surprising to Stede how it isn’t awkward at all. On their third listen, Stede is really getting the lyrics, and the song just keeps getting better. “Wow.” “Right?” Ed turns to lie on his side, excitement written all over his face. “Told you!” “I just wanna listen to this all day.” “Nothing’s stopping us.” “Except I have to be back for dinner.” “Yeah, well, still plenty of time.” Ed bites his lip and looks at Stede through his lashes. “Sooo. Did you like the kissing?” Stede has never liked anything more. “Very much.” “Would you like to do it again?” They make out while Iris plays on repeat until Stede ends up being twenty minutes late for dinner, but the scolding is all worth it, and kissing is his new favorite thing.
