I know it's been said for years but holy cow idependance day (1996) has some absolutely insane practical effects done with miniatures. The team building them all must have really worked thier asses off

True. But generally speaking, they are much more likely to reach their goal of idependance with Denmark, which has gruadually granted more and more autonomy to Greenland over the years. First in 1979, and then more in 2009. If the US aquires the island, that future is all but gone. Maybe for good...

The icelandics are a former colonized people and mostly see integration of Europe as a lack of idependance.
They don't have any army so they belong to NATO, which is so weak right now with such american presidency and don't realized that be part of EU is the main way to avoid predators.
