Stocks are obviously down, but the Russians prewar had pushed IGLAs down to the infantry platoon level. Aviation w/in visibility range isn't going to shit on the modern battlefield.

VZ is not exactly post MANPAD cleanup afghanistan where you're looking at a tiny number of beat-to-fuck early block stingers or redeyes, they have Iglas, Mistrals, and RBS-70s, and not in small numbers! I'd be shitting fucking bricks that any random darkened balcony could be death!

It's a numbers game. Stingers and iglas have downed multiple flanker variants over the black sea, and those jets are fairly comparable to the F-15E in a lot of ways. If you sortie enough over contested airspace, you're going to lose a plane or three eventually.
