No mistake or crime is more horrible to God than those committed to power.

Why? Because what is official is impersonal, and being impersonal is the greatest insult that can be paid a person.

Ghostwriters or not, you can't say Drake's music is impersonal. You listen to a Drake album and you will get a real understanding of Drake as a person, unfortunately

Impersonal bureaucratic systems are liberation from the tyranny of the village and the tribe. Long live modernity
"village" mentality is what sustains conservatism. not being able to do anything without the Grandma Gestapo reporting your every move. depending on the easily withdrawn kindness of others instead of impersonal but reliable services. and of course obeying aristocratic landowners
Its gonna be hard to have a family in a single family house when you have to bring your prospective girlfriends to your parents' house instead of your own place.

I don’t use AI because I’m infuriated for the artists and writers and philosophers who’ve had their intellectual property stolen.

I also hate boring and impersonal shit. If someone can’t be bothered to write something, why should I be bothered to read it?

incredibly hard to take someone seriously who both defends a bigot AND uses “one” as an impersonal pronoun

I do think it’s very funny that “[LLMs] also love groups of three, overtly parallel structure, and impersonal writing” describes the sentence itself that has been written.
Stop spreading this garbage about em dashes in ACTUAL EDITED PROSE OH MY GOD.

Plenty of actual human beings know how to type em dashes! We’re called “writers” and “editors” — maybe you’ve heard of us?

cities are impersonal and overwhelming but they also allow for individual identity formation because of the psychic space they have. which is tightly linked to physical space

In a world (and city) that often feels transactional, impersonal and at times anti-social it feels rare to receive genuine care, attention, warmth, and understanding from a stranger in a time of need.

Really grateful for that experience and will be sending a gift of some kind.
