Another idea I have is to do some distant imposters for stuff that might not be as trivial to LOD. Which foliage actually heavily benefits from. I remember seeing something in C4 Engine a really long time ago about this - might even be worth pursuing as another 3DJ mode on top of the surfel work.
LODs need to be a bit more aggressive for distant surfaces, but I like where this is going finally. Foliage is still a huge problem, but hopefully I can find a way to better merge disparate meshlets like leaves.

I’ve been dealing with a lot of imposters syndrome with my place here recently. I feel like I dont deserve the attention and I shouldn’t be spending as much on comms. If I actually looked like my sona maybe then I wouldnt have to of could actually present what people would want from me on my own
