Exactly. There are better options for schools. org inertia and long term contracts have made us slow to consider them. Google acting out could push a conflict that needs to happen.

Synchronous flywheels seem like a really decent way to build grid inertia. You could probably use batteries to do the same, but you need to set incentives *very* carefully if you want them to respond to frequency excursions
