Mid block infill can be shorter 3 / 4 storey flats, plexes and houses.

Good to hear from people who actually live in infill rowhomes!

Thank you to this family for sharing their experience living in an infill home!

For them, it means easier access to transit and work, less time spent on shovelling and yard maintenance, being closer to their kids’ schools, and more time to do the things they love in a home they truly enjoy.

New from me in the @winnipegfreepress.com

Winnipeg needs to learn from Edmonton's infill mistakes.
Opinion: We should learn from Edmonton’s infill errors
Few issues in Canadian cities have resulted in as much debate as infill.

YIMBY policy is one of the ultimate feedback loops of democracy. Infill housing creates democrats.

Why single-stair reform leads to more livable, adaptable infill
Allowing more single-stair buildings in the US will positively affect quality of life, public health, infill flexibility, family-friendly units, costs, and even climate adaptation.

I'm sorry, but if your city loses money on infill in a housing boom, you need to get a new line of work.

Imagine the horror: an old house replaced with homes for MULTIPLE families. Near a SCHOOL. Kids walking to class?? In THIS day and age?? 🛑🛑🛑

Now that BART will have funding, we can’t lose sight of the improvements we need: Rail + Property, platform barriers, station activations, reducing headways, opening station bathrooms, modernizing stations, and planning for infill stations 👀

Name a transit agency and the improvements you want

Nassau County is more NIMBY nowadays especially since housing there is pretty much all infill.

If backyard garden suites are too dense, what's your alternative? Infill is the only way we get family-sized homes without bulldozing the Greenbelt.

We can't protect farmland and tackle the housing crisis if every complaint from a neighbour gets a CBC microphone.

We're opening up the win mines, and fast-tracking permits for additional (w)in-infill facilities.

Didn't know Austin had such a coalition, that's fun!

I was a little involved in one big infill project ~30+ years ago when they closed Bergstrom AFB. We got them to physically move all the sf military housing and do infill on the eastside. One of them is now across the street from me. :)

That’s why I think Rail Plus Property makes a stronger case for infill stations. We can build the TOD that our stations need instead of doing it piecemeal

Side-by-side eightplexes in Allendale! They have the new shared green bins which cut down on the alley clutter.

We can improve infill, but Danielle Smith decided to just ban it.

Hopefully this cost stability leads to more housing construction (especially infill and multifamily housing construction) over the next 3 years.

Our city functions better and is more financially sustainable when people can live in infill neighbourhoods where they can walk, bike or take transit to places they need to go like work or school. We love stories like this!

A reminder for any last-minute voters out there: Prop 45 is one of the worst things on your ballot this year. It does almost nothing for infill housing (which got a major statutory CEQA exemption last year via AB130), but will massively benefit sprawl subdivisions and freeway expansions.

Vote no!

Annnnnd Connie Chan just conceded to Scott Weiner. SF is sending the person who has, along with Buffy Wicks, done the most to pull CA out of its inability to build smart infill housing. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Here the neighbour building modest new infill housing is somehow painted as the greedy one, rather than someone unwilling to welcome new neighbours and suggesting they should live on loud commercial streets or in basements instead.
