In other news, I've found my old files for the Inform6 compiler on the Psion 5mx :-) I've been considering writing text adventures as *educational* resources, but, y'know, only so many hours in the day...

Thinking of using Inform6 to build a text adventure to train lab staff to set up massively-parallel next-generation genomic sequencing on our Illumina machines... #Genomics

A Train to Piccadilly won the first prize in two categories (inform6 and #punyinform) in this year’s IFDB awards! Go check if it was a well earned double-prize! #retrogaming #textadventure #interactivefiction

4. Writing and playing parser-based interactive fiction. My partner and I are writing an Infocom style game using Inform6/PunyInform, but I think our next project will be in Inform 7, which is a very different language from I6.

Sometimes that Inform6 game is just like that.

I learned #Inform6 and #PunyInform this weekend. I also managed to write up a short interactive fiction plot. I might work on a game project this week 😎

have done some smaller prototypes, simple games, and jam games using Godot, Pico-8, Low-Res NX, and other fantasy consoles, as well as text adventure games using PunyInform, Inform6, and Twine

Moved my second failed attempt at text adventure gaming to my generic account. It was made for a jam in a couple weeks while I was learning to program inform6 games but someone said it's buggy. Anyway it runs on a dozen or so retro platforms:

It's a weird beast for sure! It seems to interpret the Inform7 soure text into Inform6 code, which is then compiled to .z by the Inform6 compiler (I think I have that right?). I'm very much an OPL kinda guy - if I was building adventures on the Psion 3a/c/mx, it would have to be in that... :-)

I meant a compiler on the device so we can build our own games on the fly :-) I think there is one for EPOC32... (Inform6)

Incidentally, if you feel like generating images from your favourite Adventure game locations #InteractiveFiction, please do share them in this thread! You can write your own Adventures using the Inform6 language by Graham Nelson, or #Python or #BASIC or whatever :-)
