“Who’s this chucklefuck?” she asks.

Charles le Fuck silently bristles at the informality…

the most trans thing you can do online is write your name all lowercase to emphasize informality

there's a level of urgency suggested by the stern informality of that handshake. like Ford is meeting the local official who's been heading up the response to the hostage crisis he's been called in to resolve
this photo cracks me up

Japanese printmaking hugely influenced both Western art and its most well known artists from the 19th century onwards, including Impressionist Mary Cassatt who appropriated the informality, bright colours, black lines and flat style of Ukiyo-e  prints

You can tell how friendly these people are by the incredible level of informality. These are bro level emails.
No one else is mind blown Jeffrey Epstein didn't use subject lines in emails?

the reason why "skeet" has become so entrenched in bsky's culture is that it feels both playful and uniquely native, capturing the essence of early internet subcultures with its casual, absurd, and irreverent informality

that and it means cum

Why is satanic RITUAL invoked as uniquely scary? I'd be far more concerned about satanic informality & spontaneity

It’s minor, but, radio referenced President Trump meeting Catherine Connolly - I know we don’t like Kings & we like that informality, however with an iconic surname & an earned title, maybe we should refer to her as President Connolly when referencing her alongside other country leaders?

The informality is absolutely critical to negotions of truth. It comes off as real, not as a caricature of politeness. Superlatives lose meaning in the face of absolutes.

"Video Games Around the World" is a book I always recommend, but the chapter on Brazil has a flaw that's a warning to us all.

It says BRs only made 105 games from 1983-2010. Why so few? Because it only lists commercial ones... in the country of informality, it only documented the industry's side :/

Interviews cut both ways.

If you don't want to work in a certain kind of uptight environment, then bringing a little bit of informality to a job interview can tell you if the potential employers meet *your* standards.

I do not object to the relative informality of the Olivier Awards ceremony, merely to its sloppiness.

A stone has been dislodged in the last few weeks, and so we have seen how our ministers and officials actually interacted in respect of one particular matter.

But this is how government is conducted everyday: rules, process, conflict, pressure, ‘delivery’, informality, sometimes even paper trails.

"Elected official who talks like they're just some guy" is one of the most annoying posting voices, I don't even mean the informality, I mean how he sounds indistinguishable from like Olivia Julianna, you confirm judges bud

Incidentally, the list of the Line of Succession on the Royal Family website suggests he's not even "Mr Mountbatten Windsor" (contra, Mr Peter Phillips), which suggests he's been demoted to a level of informality hitherto unknown in British forms of address.

Online communication certainly feels like voice, which has its pluses and minuses. One plus is the to me delightful informality of it. One negative is that people often seem to forget that they can, in fact, take a pause before responding, to measure their words, informally delivered as they may be.
In online comments, I'm more or less true to my speaking voice. I figure that's what we're after here, more or less.
