the main issue ive heard from people who actually cared/looked forward to the game, due to liking the Insomiac Spiderman games, was that that felt it didnt match up to the quality of previous work. and with seeing all of the day 1 "the PS5 exclusive game is fucking melting" isnt a good start😅

GUYS!!! Insomiac did what I’ve been begging developers to do for YEARS! You know how many times I miss a line of dialogue for some reason from a scene and wish I could replay it without restarting game/level or going to watch it on YouTube? Wolverine GOTY!!! Haha

Seems like at least the door thing is just a UV map bug.
But for Sony in particular, GenAI seems like a when rather than an if. Even if Wolverine and Insomiac seems safe for now.

I’m nearing the end of MARVEL’s Wolverine and before I go for the Platinum, a lot of you need to touch some grass.
This is hardly Insomiac Games’s worst game.
I’ll save my overall thoughts for after I Platinum it.

Im sure it’s fun and I’m excited to play it. I think people are being harsh on it because Insomiac is so well-regarded as a top tier studio. Plus it’s releasing at such a busy time for games.

I thought the Insomiac Spiderman games were overall a bit mid. They had fantastic story missions and really good movement/combat mechanics, and absolutely dogshit mid-tier-gen-7-360-game sandboxes. Wolverine apparently has awesome combat and a shit sanbox, so....yeah. Yep. Kinda expected that.

Hot take: but i would've preferred if the insomiac spider-man games turned MJ into a spider-woman, as it would've helped make her insufferable stealth segments somewhat as enjoyable as peter and miles'.
