Mesa Public Schools reported rising CCRI scores and an expansion of internship placements and micro‑internship options; staff highlighted employer partnerships (Honeywell, Empire Cat, SRP), mock interviews, employer agreements, transportation assistance and foundation support for boots/clothing.

Vancouver School District CTE staff told the board internships have grown from about 66 to over 200 students and 222 students earn elective credits through work experience; employer ProTech Industries said it has hired multiple former interns and praised the district’s safety and onboarding procedures.

District presentation reported internships grew from 14 to more than 112 and are projected to exceed 170 this year; the district set a stretch goal of 600 student internships annually by 2029-30 and proclaimed February 2026 Career and Technical Education Month.
