In 1987 it was literally impossible to visit Moscow as an ordinary foreign tourist without your trip being organised by Intourist. That was what they did.
Krasnov wasn't an ordinary tourist though and his trip wasn't organised by Intourist; it was organised by the KGB's Seventh Directorate.

Intourist was not the "KGB's travel agency".
It was the Soviet tourist agency and it organised and chaperoned ordinary tourists' visits to the USSR.
Visits like Trump's were *not* organised by Intourist but directly by the KGB's spymasters who had access and powers far beyond those of Intourist.

There's lots of evidence, but using Intourist isn't evidence. In the Soviet years, the only way to visit the USSR was with Intourist. No one had a choice. It doesn't indicate anything political. But there's a ton of other credible evidence that he is in some form an asset.

My pal was approached repeatedly to buy his Levi denims whilst in Moscow. As I recall, he did sell all pairs to one happy kid for what he'd paid in Dundee. Came home in jogging bottoms.
