🌎 Pine Mountain Resort State Park is Kentucky's 1st state park and today's #WITWW destination! Yonder enjoyed his overnight here and wants to return to explore even more trails previously traversed by 18th-century explorers like Dr. Thomas Walker and Daniel Boone.

🌎 This #WITWW location originated as a female seminary in 1842 and was renamed in 1895 to honor the orphaned student who came back to lead it. In 2017 it became a fully coeducational university. Where was Yonder? Pop back at 5pm to see if you guessed correctly.

🌎 This #WITWW brings you to the Blue Ridge Tunnel in Afton, Virginia. Designed by French engineer Claudius Crozet and built 1849-1858 by Irish and enslaved laborers using hand drills and black powder, it's a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.

🌎 Here’s this week’s #WITWW location in black and white: Fire Island Lighthouse in Patchogue, NY! At 168 feet, it’s the tallest lighthouse on Long Island. While dogs can walk the lighthouse’s boardwalk and sandy grounds, they’re not permitted to climb the 182 steps to the top. #vizsla #IntrepidPup

🌎 Yonder happily romped the expansive grounds of Westover Plantation along the banks of the James River in Charles City, VA, for this #WITWW. It was home to William Byrd II--the founder of Richmond, VA--and has featured in several films and TV shows, including "The West Wing."

🌎 Today's #WITWW spot is Lockhouse 28 near mile marker 50 in Maryland along the C&O Canal towpath. It's among 26 extant historic lockhouses...and you can even spend the night in this one!*

*sorry, no pups allowed overnight at this one, but Yonder loved romping this trail!
