I've updated IntyBASIC with the SELECT CASE / END SELECT statements because these are very useful, and also added export of constants to assembler (a feature requested by developers) #retro #retrogaming #intellivision github.com/nanochess/in...

#FujiNet has a #GMAIL protocol adapter. Does this mean I can read my GMAIL Inbox on my #Intellivision? YES!

Shown here a quickly written client in IntyBASIC that can index and read messages in my inbox. :)

A few years ago as an in-joke, I began making a game about a noodle stand but didn't get very far. #intybasic

Pretty surprising 🤯 btw Claude is also being used to create games in IntyBASIC. Very early, but I'm willing to see how so far this goes.

Thanks! IntyBASIC has been used to create more than one hundred of new games for the Intellivision. CVBasic is following on these tracks, supporting 14 consoles with Z80/6502 processors.

Indeed! I discovered how so difficult is developing for Intellivision while making Princess Quest. IntyBASIC makes far easier the development of games. And my extended ECS BASIC makes justice to the Mattel ECS add-on, it becomes fun to use! 😀✌️

Princess Quest is an excellent piece of work, and has led to the Intellivision doing other surprisingly NES-like things. It makes me think CastleQuest could also work on the Intellivision. I painted the cover to an IntyBASIC compilation some years ago, seen here.

Ok, new distros for CoolCV, IntyBASIC, and CVBasic (and assorted utilities) will be based on macOS 15 and Fedora 30. Windows gets the good note, I'm still building with XP. #development

My understanding is that Oscar Toledo Gutierrez really understands the hardware, and with CVBasic and IntyBasic, he's optimized the interpreter as much as possible to avoid generating too much bulky or inefficient code. I'm less sure about its NES/MSX2 capabilities but those are interesting also.
