The Isanti City Council authorized staff to apply for a Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) grant to help fund reconstruction of Heritage Boulevard (projected 2028 construction), approved spending up to about $8,000 to prepare the application, and voted 5-0 to proceed.

Council members said the city did not authorize installation and stressed any city contract would require council approval; residents urged transparency and staff committed to follow‑up.
