Alpha Island Sanctuary prevents all damage to you from creatures that don’t have flying or islandwalk, while the Beta version keeps them from attacking.

I need to get this back in a deck at some point! It used to be in Sharuum but just didn't do enough there. Still, Islandwalk and near invulnerability on convenience store (7/11) sized monster is pretty nice.

The MVP of the most recent game (yes I totally destroyed my spouse and child again) was the Revenge. When it comes into play it makes you three lil pirates you can use to crew it. A lot of removal spells specifically target creatures and couldn’t deal with it as a vehicle. Also islandwalk meant

I made a Magic card with an eye towards being a little serious about the matter.

This card I made because my friend plays Hakbal of the Surging Soul as their commander, and I hate that card SO much it-it- the f- it- flame- flames. Flames, on the side of my face, breathing-breath- heaving breaths...
Magic Card "Samantha, Hater of Hakbal". She is a 2/3 creature, Legendary. She costs 3 colorless and 2 white mana to cast, and is billed as a Human Queer Disaster. Rules text reads Queer (Creature gains +1/+1 for every other Queer creature you control) Coast Guard (Creatures with Islandwalk may be blocked as if they did not have this ability) Protection from blue Choose a player who has Hakbal of the Surging Soul as their commander. Every time that player has a creature explore, you may kick that player in the shins. The card "art" features the aforementioned Hakbal, a blue merman in green armor beaten up and lying on a beach. Behind him, a red-haired, blue mermaid looks on in shock at the shin kicking that has been administered. Samantha, Hater of Habal, stands over the merman, a trans-pride colored baseball bat in her hand. She is wearing a dark T-shirt and denim overalls. She is a white lady with dishwater-blonde hair. Standing beside her, a perturbed triceratops snorts down at his fallen foe. I think this is a good and legal card in all conceivable ways.
