Another terrific local river trail walk yesterday. There appeared to be swarms of Painted Lady's. It was a good day for butterflies.

They seem to have had a good year. A photo showing a Meadow Brown perched up. Similar to the Gatekeeper, but the former has only one white spot, whereas the Gatekeeper has two. A photo of a Painted Lady. I stopped counting when I'd reached double figures. I laughed thinking I’d probably see one around my pond. Stone me, I did! Another tick for the pond!
