JAS39C/Ds are very decent 4th gen fighters (like F-16s) with great ability to operate dispersed from austere conditions (like highways) & very cheap to operate per flight hour. Will also help Ukraine prepare to integrate 4.5-gen Gripen-Es Kyiv plans to buy.
