#JSONFeed
"I love #RSS feeds (and ATOM too (and JSONFeed)) but one thing that frustrates me is when a feed doesn't include all of the content.

full-rss.deno.dev was created to partially solve this."

So anyone will be able to subscribe to the platform using either RSS, ATOM or JSONFEED

This means you can search for "drones" and then only see posts about drones, or only drones with videos files right on your inbox or Feed reader @faineg.bsky.social

Just published jsonfeed.1.1.0 on opam, in case you're looking for an alternative to Atom/RSS and want an example of using jsont codecs from OCaml instead of direct parsing https://ocaml.org/p/jsonfeed/latest/doc/jsonfeed/Jsonfeed/index.html

Great idea, and approachable for mere mortals. I have been cross-posting to my website, Micro.blog, RSS/Atom, JSONFeed, Mastodon, and Bluesky for ages, but it required me to write code. (Bonus is that I can use Bridgy to pull replies/likes/reposts back into my website, which is the source of truth).

Yup! I'm using a CMS called Known for my site atm - cleverdevil.io. The CMS is sorta dead, and I am slowly building something bespoke in Python and DuckDB (github.com/cleverdevil/...). There are pre-existing plugins for Known to syndicate to Mastodon. Micro.blog is handled with JSONFeed. (1/x)

Good to see RSS is making a comeback. Here's mine.

rss: meijer.works/rss.xml
atom: meijer.works/atom.xml
jsonfeed: meijer.works/feed.json

I don't like newsletters (too much stuff in my inbox already), so if you don't have an RSS feed (or a JSONfeed), I'm probably not going to read your blog.

Created my first NPM package today, npmx.dev/package/astr... 🎉.
It's an @astro.build utility for generating a JSONFeed (kind of like an RSS feed, but in JSON instead of XML).

I would look at JSONFeed jsonfeed.org for something modern and extensible; it’s basically RSS but in JSON instead of XML. But 100% agree that feeds on websites are our way out.

Thoughts on full-text RSS/ATOM/JSON feeds, both from the perspective of an end-user and a webmaster.

Got annoyed that @humblebundle.com didn't have their bundles in a reader feed so I decided to make a tiny #FastAPI app to provide all their bundles as a #RSS, #JSONFeed, and #Atom feed :3

Also if the Humble Bundle team reads this, please keep using webpack, it made my job so easy 3;

Yeah sure! My favourite (and the one in the screenshot) is Feeder - it's created by one guy, open source, regularly updated, free, no ads, extremely functional AND has dark mode. I started using it after Reddit disabled their API and it's been just really easy.

Just migrated bsky.rss from feedsub to feedsmith, now bsky.rss support RSS, Atom, Jsonfeed, EDF and soon GeoRSS too, I’ll do another round of improvements so that it would be easier to parse and render weather Feeds but that’s for later.

Feedsmith has a…

They need an htmlContent field. That will make Atom/RSS/JsonFeed/h-feed interop trivial. Instead they are reinventing content negotiation for the Content field.

The reply button on posts is powered by the RSS/Atom/JSONFeed "comments URL" or equivalent field in the feed itself. So that button will take you wherever the feed author intended, including sometimes using mailto: links, or sometimes even to a social media post the author is using for comments.
