Why has Jstore added an AI assistant, which you cannot close, to the side panel next to whatever you are reading? It's like a conscious calculation to diminish the cognitive abilities of those engaged in intellectual work. Please cease with the enforced AI bloatware. Nothing is better with AI.

Me and some artists are hosting a little ttrpg themed event at the Jstore Hamburg, Germany in August ♡

It would be lovely if you could help boost the post by sharing it and/or interacting with it in general!
(I hate having to play the algorhythm game but alas)

And Jstore didn’t even want to prosecute him. It was an overzealous federal attorney looking for a political career who has since faded into obscurity. A Democrat at that.

Pretending to be productive by being not UNproductive by exhausting every meagre essay on Jstore and looking up out of print academic books on homosexuality in late imperial and early Soviet Russia

We all torrented\used libgen until we had to buy a $200 book with a code for some miserable software that barely worked. The handful of times I used jstore I felt slimy. I knew what they did to Aaron Swartz. The whole thing was just fucked and broken. the ONLY plus side is I learned about libgen.

a bit stunned so many ppl just lie about how it used to be universally required for millenials to learn how to properly research and use google scholar or jstore at the *grade school level* when academic essays would be utterly incomprehensible to the average student at that age lol

Or wait is jstore another thing

TIL: JSTORE offers free accounts for independent research!

You can access 100 docs per month.

If you don't know, there's also Sci-Hub, Internet Archive, and Librivox.

en el director's cut de Midsommar, en la escena en la que Josh y Christian discuten por la tesis, Josh le dice "you didn't even know how to use Jstore! Why are you even in academia?!" y siento que aquí capturó un zeitgeist

Jstore is by subscription ($big) but you can read executive summaries of reports for free on their site. = usually leads to open source references for follow up.

I wish I had my old JStore account and I could check if there was ever an academic paper on Shakes.😄You never know

Years ago, I read about a man who pirated some books from Jstore and was fined a few million dollars for it. Meta steals countless books and gets away with it. SMH

I don't know. They may be working from home, actually I think they mostly work from home. My institution has no subscription to Jstore, I ask from the university colleague every time.

Nota bene: les éditeurs scientifiques ont un droit d'opt-out du corpus du RAG pour leur catalogue
Elsevier a choisi l'option op-out... Jstore, APA...
De gros pans des collections numériques de mon établissement
Rappel : l'utilité d'un outil documentaire, c'est son corpus, la couverture

I need a JStore login so goddamn bad, I still haven’t been assigned a library login, so have been reduced to searching through Reddit link for access to sources!

If you have JSTORE access then this is very good introduction.

I've searched that and Jstore and I just can't find what I'm looking for at all even remotely ::::

Trying to find specifically -why- they thought it was connected to Aryans but all I keep finding is stuff like 'Lol Indiana Jones and those crazy Nazis!'
